Michele Bachmann Rule 5

I hope this post isn't taken in the wrong way. I think it is inappropriate to objectify women, especially women who move in the halls of power. It is a tool of our enemies and it used against wonderful, patriotic women.

On the other hand, Newsweek published a cover picture of Michele Bachmann this week that seemed an attempt to portray her as looking crazed. They are able to find pictures of her looking all sorts of ways because she is a woman who still is able to control her facial muscles, for lack of Botox. That is a plus, not a minus. But still, they must have had to leaf through all sorts of attractive pictures of her because she is a photogenic lady.

So, whether you believe she belongs in the Oval Office or not, she is a remarkable woman in so many ways, caring for her constituents, her family and a score of foster children throughout the years. I know her heart is in the right place. She understands the financial and cultural peril our country is in and is willing to take the slings and arrows that come with standing up for what is right.

What follows is a short homage to her. Michele, if you read this, know that many Americans (and Iowans!) feel that you are a lovely human being, inside and out.

And remember to check out other Rule 5 greats:

Saturday night is bath night at Theospark.

American Power features a Jaime Lee Curtis sexy dance from the movie True Lies.

Maggie at Maggie's Notebook has the Ecclestone sisters, Tamara and Petra and Annie Ilonzeh.

Teresamerica features Angie Harmon.

And a rare treat, TCL's one rule 5 post of the year.

Shaw introduces Putin's Army of scantily-clad car wash babes.

The Pirate's Cove has a lovely pinup.

The Eye of Polyphemus turns toward Alessandra Torresani.

The Classic Liberal justifies Madonna's love.

And don't forget to celebrate rule 5 "Woodsterman Style".
