I'm sure some hardened socialists will cry racism. But who can argue that the blessings of liberty guaranteed in our Constitution are not for all of us, We The Peop...

Boy Scouts demonstrate folding American Flag
It doesn't hurt to review the flag rules. Someone should tell Obama the part about never dipping the flag in salute to anything or anyone. Maybe he'll get a spine and stop bowing and scraping to other countries and leade...

Libyan prisoner beheading to "Allahu Akbar"
And John McCain calls them heroes? I don't know what's going on in Libya. Certainly Qaddafi is a bad guy. But these rebels are suspect. I worry that they are not freedom fighters, but totalitarian fighters for the dominance of islam over the world.I include a link to the beheading video for those who must see it for themselves. The story is that this prisoner surrendered and was in custody. I have not and will not personally watch the torture-murder of a human being.Graphic beheading vid...

Is Obama in danger of a Carteresque "Rabbit Attack"?

A writer at the Chicago Tribune seems to think so. He quotes a veteran Chicago Democrat as saying that it's still a bit early in Obama's presidency for a Rabbit Attack moment, but "it's close. Real close."This is news to me. I lived through the malaise of the Carter years. The misery index. I lived through the 20+ percent inflation. Sky high interest rates. I watched my parents trapped in their home that was impossible to sell. All Americans...

Get out and vote WI-sen 22 and 12, fleeing Democrat recall day!

via Gateway Pundit Today is voting day in the recall elections for two of Wisconsin's Democrat senators who decided to flee the state rather than stay and do their jobs. These people abandoned their post. They were paid to do a job and they fled. They are being paid, by the way, by all of the residents of Wisconsin, not just the Democrats. So when they do something so base and partisan as to flee the state so that a quorum cannot be called...

Michele Bachmann Rule 5

I hope this post isn't taken in the wrong way. I think it is inappropriate to objectify women, especially women who move in the halls of power. It is a tool of our enemies and it used against wonderful, patriotic women. On the other hand, Newsweek published a cover picture of Michele Bachmann this week that seemed an attempt to portray her as looking crazed. They are able to find pictures of her looking all sorts of ways because she is a woman...

Condell's exquisite rant about UK riots
Another great rant from Pat Condell, courtesy of my blogging friend, Amusing Bunni. Great find, Bunni. He sure puts the riots in the UK into perspecti...
Did Obama exploit SEAL team 6?

Maybe. He certainly made sure to bask in their glow after the Bin Laden raid and after the Somali pirate victory.Does Obama plan to exploit SEAL team 6? Apparently. There are reports that his administration has given information to filmmakers who have agreed to release a movie about the Bin Laden raid a month prior to the next presidential election.Did the Obama administration have a motive for betrayal of SEAL team 6? Not clear. The death...

Santelli: Without Tea Party U.S. would be rated BBB
If it had not been for the Tea Party, we would have had a clean debt ceiling increase and been downgraded to BBB instead of AA+. The CNBC host tried very hard to disprove Santelli's contention that we have a spending problem. He tried to say that we should raise taxes, of course. He must be a Democrat. Democrats never met a tax they didn't like. These idiots need to be sidelined out of American politics. You can prove to them that raising taxes reduces overall revenues to the government, but they still don't care. All they want to do is...

Obama's policies are a huge wet blanket on economy
This video is posted by Senate Republicans. You Tube shows it with fewer than 100 page views. Embedding code was difficult to locate, as a flaw in the page had a window covering the "share" button. Not sure why that was, but I finally got the code copied. As much as we need to cleanse our party of RINOs, Obama and the Dems are poison for the U.S. economy. And their solution to our problems is to tax more. Unbelievab...

Doctor Who and Rose Tyler
My college boy was home for a couple of weeks and now he is gone. :-( While he was here, though, he showed me the entire season of Dr. Who with Eccleston as the doctor and Piper as Rose. I have not seen any other seasons, but after doing a little reading around, I see that the Doctor never had as personal a relationship with any of his other female companions as he had with Rose. And who can blame him. She's gorgeous. And a sweet young thing. Full of wide-eyed wonder. I bet the producer and writers were in love with her, too, creating extra-special...

San Francisco launches new ordinance attacking pregnancy centers
Now pro aborts are attacking the free speech rights of Pregnancy Help Clinics. They are demanding that the clinics post large signs that they do not offer abortions or abortion referrals, and change their google advertising links that compete with abortion mills. Refusing to do this would result in misdemeanor charges, fines and contempt of court. Conversely, no abortion mills are told to post signs that they do not offer alternatives...

Banks bulldoze foreclosed homes
Meredith Jenks / Getty ImagesUPDATED (5:29 PM)Banks have a new remedy for America's ailing housing market: bulldozers. There are nearly 1.7 million homes in the U.S. in some state of foreclosure. Banks already own some of these homes and will soon repossess many more. Many housing economists worry that a near constant stream of home sales by banks could keep housing prices down for years to come. But what if some of those homes never hit the market?Increasingly,...
Editorial cartoon suggests Obama send SEALs to assassinate Tea Party
This is over the top and has to stop. Unbelievable. These lunatic Dems that don't get their way turn to violent rhetoric? Somebody could get hurt. Shame on them! And Shame on Biden and whatever other Democrats who referred to Tea Partiers as terrorists in their meeting.Via examiner.com, Newsbusters. "I've seen...bad men do good things"-Cowboys and Aliens
I saw this movie today. A fun little romp. That was one of the lines. I was reminded of it just now as I looked at the top stories, and I saw that Charlie Sheen rescued Brooke Mueller, his ex wife, from a Mexican rehab facility. He was worried about her health and had her flown by private jet up to his rehab specialists in the U.S. I think what he did was thoughtful and sweet. Just proves that nobody is all good or all b...
Sen John McCain gives Tea Party credit for debt deal

via newserSen. John McCain decided to give credit to the Tea Party for derailing Obama's drive for tax increases in the debt ceiling debate.Of course, McCain has been none too popular with conservatives after he basically called in his candidacy against Obama in 2008, losing miserably. He gave little more effort than Giuliani and reaped proportionate benefit. After years of lukewarm support of conservative causes, McCain had the gall to read from...
