Some Other Time - Tuesday Tunes
I had a nice visit with my dad this weekend. He had DVR'd Great Performances, Tony Bennett, Duets II. This song Some Other Time reminded me of our relationship. Quite a tear jerker as he sits next to me with terminal lymphoma.
My dad is weaker now. Can't go to restaurants, but still enjoys sitting and watching shows from his recliner. I consider him a great pianist. He filled the house with music as I grew up. He doesn't play much anymore, but when he played through the years, he played slowly and with great feeling. Piano is still my favorite kind of music.

Obama's fundraising 70 percent short
According to the New York Slimes, er, Times, Obama should be raking in 70 million per month for the rest of 2012, triple the rate he has been bringing in so far this year. Big donations have dropped. Jim Messina, Obama's campaign manager, has warned two congressional campaign committees not to expect much DNC money this year, as Obama plans to keep most of the money for himself.
Obama having fundraising problems? Not surprising.
All Dems suffering? Priceless.

Obama's war on Stay-At-Home-Moms
"President Obama’s calculated war on women has unintentionally turned into the war against stay-at-home moms, and these moms will not stand for it. The SAHMs have a voice and strong opinions and most importantly, they vote.
I’ve worked grueling hours on the campaign trail and in the White House, but deciding to stay at home with my children has by far been the most demanding yet most rewarding job.

What is the purpose of the Supreme Court? Cartoon.
To keep things from degenerating into civil war.
When politics gets partisan, and when does it not, *somebody* needs to arbitrate and provide the protections of the Constitution. That is the job of the Supreme Court.
Obamacare is a huge overreach. That Obama sends threatening messages to the Supreme Court in advance of their decision is no surprise. He is a wanna-be dictator. But it *is* a dangerous step for this country.
Lord, please help us to persevere in the face of our enemies, to protect the weak, and to keep America strong.

Behar better stop calling Jessica Simpson "fat"
I already have issues with people criticizing others' body styles. Criticizing young girls, in particular, can lead to eating disorders and must be avoided.
But should 69-year-old hag Behar really lay into a 9-month pregnant woman for weight gain? Most Hollywood weenies abort, or, should I say, induce labor after 8 months in an attempt to keep their figure. Jessica decided to put her baby's health first. And even if she did have a few more treats than usual, how is that any of Joy Behar's business?
Sarah Palin got it right. She defended Simpson. Joy Behar better hope she doesn't run into Sarah Palin in a dark alley.
