Sabbath could end Jewish school's basketball playoff run

The Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools refuses to change the game time, which falls at 9pm on Friday night, well after sundown and the start of the Jewish Sabbath. The Bergen school is an Orthodox school. For those not already aware, Orthodox Jews are highly observant of religious rules and customs. The school has even offered to pay the cost of rescheduling the game. The appeal has been denied.

In fact, one of the children was quoted as saying that God doesn't take a week off from us, so we should not take a week off from God. I bet his parents are proud of the son that they raised.

I am puzzled by the intransigence of the Association, since they mention "Parochial" schools in their title. Doesn't that mean religious schools? Why are there no games scheduled on Sunday? Ever? TAPPS Contact Info: phone (254) 947-9268 fax (254) 947-9368 email: edd@tapps.net twitter: @TAPPSnet

Dem admits Constitution ignored by Congress in HHS Mandate: explosive video

It's great when we get them off the teleprompter. They tell all kinds of truth. Dem. Rep Kathy Hochul learns that her townhall audience is not full of yes-men. Hat Tip The Last Tradition.

Gallup shows Santorum leading by 8 points

Santorum could indeed be an electable candidate, according to recent data.
Gallup's daily tracking poll shows Rick Santorum continuing to gain momentum among national Republican voters, with the former senator now holding an 8 percentage point lead over Mitt Romney. Santorum earned the support of 36 percent of voters, up one percent from Saturday. Romney fell by one percent to 28 percent. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (Ga.) and Rep. Ron Paul (Texas) held steady at 13 percent and 11 percent respectively.
Hat Tip American Power.

One thing that puzzles me. Why did Gallup show Mitt Romney versus Obama numbers (48 to 48) and Gingrich versus Obama (Obama leads 53 to 41), but not Santorum versus Obama. With Santorum in the lead, it seems like Gallup is either hiding something, or doing a poor job of polling.

This time, it's me snowboarding

Yep, this is yours truly snowboarding today. However, I preserve deniability due to wearing lots of obscuring clothing.

I hope your long President's Weekend (Presidents except Obama, of course) is an enjoyable one.

Snowboarding Brothers, better than marauding muslims

Honestly, I am so sick of reading the news. A "Moroccan" person intended to do a homicide bombing at our nation's capitol? Of course. How long did we think we would be safe from the death cult?

A Lebanese man sentenced to death for spying for Israel? Of course. I'm surprised they waited for the court to issue a verdict.

It's better sometimes to take a break from all the awful news and play with the kids.

Santorum now second place in delegate count

Well, well, well. It's not a two-way race after all. Santorum's stunning win of 3 states last night sets him up in second place in the delegate count. Romney has 107, Santorum has 45, Gingrich has 32 and Ron Paul has 9. It takes 1,144 delegates to win the GOP nomination. Colorado, Minnesota and Missouri all decided to put Santorum in the lead. Negative campaigning by the other candidates may have had something to do with that. What do you want to bet the attack dogs are out biting Santorum in 3, 2, 1....

My kind of immigrant, er, NOT!

Looks like the British have their work cut out for them. The Swedes have let things go too far already. Their little girls are being knifed and raped in the streets.

Madonna - Rule 5

In honor of Madonna's performance in the halftime show of tomorrow's Superbowl, here is a quick Rule 5.

She rocked the pseudo-naked look at one time (are the eyebrows supposed to match the hair color?):

This picture caught my attention in a "WTF" kind of way.  Eew.  I gather she was pro-Obama at one point.  Can't say I put much weight in the political opinion of a person who doesn't bother living in America.

This one almost doesn't look like her.

Vintage Madonna.

She's ready to do battle.  I'm not sure the shoes are exactly sensible.  But eye-catching, yes.

Dog Gives Receipt - video

This video has been up for a day and already has over a million views. See the cuteness for yourself. I think the second dog is the puppy of the well-trained one.
